The small print, in large print
No cookiesto agree to.
The short version
Mendbird uses no tracking or advertising cookies, so there is nothing to agree to. If you sign in, one cookie keeps you signed in. Here is the detail, and the switch for visit counting.
Counting your visits
Your visits are counted anonymously.
The choice is saved in your browser's own storage on this device, and is never sent to us.
What runs when you load a page
- Cloudflare serves the site and sees the request, including your IP address, which is how any website works. The typefaces are served from this site too, so nobody else is contacted.
- A visit count. A small script from this site adds one to the day's totals, as described in the privacy notice. It stores nothing on your device and sends no identifier, so a visit cannot be linked to you or to any other visit. Because nothing is read from or saved on your device, it needs no consent, but you can still switch it off above.
What is saved on your device
- If you sign in, one cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. It only works on mendbird.com, cannot be read by scripts, and is deleted when you sign out. It is strictly necessary for the service you asked for, so it needs no consent.
- Two small flags in your browser's own storage, not cookies: one remembers that you closed the notice at the bottom of the page, and one remembers if you asked us not to count your visits. Neither is ever sent to us.
Cloudflare may set its own security cookie if it decides a request looks like an attack. That is strictly necessary and exempt from consent.
If that changes
If we ever add something that does need consent, you will get a proper choice before it runs, not a wall of switches already turned on.
